Patience In The Garden...

"A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches entire trust."

-Gertrude Jekyll

  4. Isn't it exciting to see the fruits of your labor when you plant a garden? I just love it! Your plants look so healthy. Way to go, Jackie!

  5. Wonderful! I can't wait to eat a garden-fresh tomato- of it ever gets warm enough in these parts to ripen one!

  6. I'm not sure if I mentioned last time Jackie but I really like your new-look blog!

The Gertrude Jekyll quote sums up gardening wonderfully. It feels so good when those first vegetables come through doesn't it! I have some tomatoes of a similar colour (!) and some juicy red strawberries - which I must pick very soon!

  7. I see those cute little tomaters Jackie! We have a few too. I can hardly wait. The squirrels ate all our strawberries, hope we get to the tomaters and beans first!
