  3. I hear ya! My daughter isn't coming home this Christmas. I'm debating if I want to put the tree up this year or not. My son won't come out to my place. (he says I live too far out in the sticks) I'm not sure I want to go to the trouble of dragging it all out just for me to look at. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  7. Jackie:

Wonderful! To your book pile, I would add A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens and Journey Into Christmas, a collection of Depression-era holiday stories by Bess Streeter Aldrich, a Nebraskan author in the first half of the 20th century.

  8. Don't tell anyBODY but we had our trees up about a week before Thanksgiving. I bought a new tree for The Porch and I had to make sure the lights worked, right? So I also tried your tip on the Pumpkin Spice Latte, three times now! The White Chocolate Mousse is pretty tasty too :)
